it doesnt make sense to apply the standards for those days to these days....everyone was obsessed with proportion, realism, naturalism, drama, exclusive to anything else back then. while those ideas arent dead, theres room for more ideas to come in now....
I think Bernini is the best, dont get me wrong, but there is more in life and in art than this kind of pumped-up classicism
