With the constant threat of lawnmower noise looming in the background like some psychic shadow I chatted with artist Samantha Salzinger in her well appointed apartment. The interview was discursive, touching on several subjects such as-but not limited to- Conspiracy Theory, the approaching Mayan Apocalypse, and the always suspicious "reality" of photographic imagery. Samantha is articulate and vibrant and the out-takes at the end are worth waiting for. On the ride home I discovered an amazing cemetery in Davie that looks like a Theban Necropolis and then had a touching encounter with a Raccoon (vimeo.com/42911630) in Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. It was quite a day.
